Today in class, we did a very short mini-lesson discussing ways to analyze your evidence and were encouraged to use sentence starters as seen below. You added this to your “Thought Processes… Chart.” You can find these five bulleted items in the Session 7 folder in the Literary Analysis folder.
You then continued writing your flash draft. Be sure you still consider using a variety of evidence (direct quotes, summarizing, and/or storytelling) and use those sentence starters to help you with the analysis portion. Also, be sure to have a balance between evidence and the analysis in a paragraph.
Remember, read Mrs. Macfadden’s feedback sometime before class tomorrow. You’ll have time to make those revisions.
